Questions:

  • Why can’t we save ourselves from sin?

  • Why is it that only You, God, can save us from sin? Why are You the antidote?

  • Why did You have to come as the son of God, and be like us - in our form (flesh and blood)?

  • Why did You have to suffer and die the way You did to save us? Why was this necessary?

God’s answer:

Key with a heart handle. On the heart is written SALVATION.

Heaven’s Door

Chalice of blood and the Holy Eucharist

I gave you My power over death.

Meaning: Only God can save us because only God has power over death.

God’s statement:

I AM the God of all creation. Death is beneath Me.

Meaning: God is the knowing of everything. He is everything and is the perfection of all things. Thus, God alone has the power to overcome sin - to the depths of evil that sin can take us to. Hence his statement “The prince of darkness is coming and in me He will find nothing.” He overcame sin not just through his death but even as He lived, in the physical form of fallen man, sinless amongst us in a world of sin.

Why did He have to come as the son? He explains this by saying it’s like having a recipe for a cake, unless you bake it, no one can ever taste it…it is never created. He, as man, in flesh and blood, had to overcome death caused by sin so the power over death by fallen man can come to being. By doing so, we can have that same power to defeat death, and once again enter Heaven, as a child of God…sinless and perfect. That’s why He is the key of salvation that opens the door of Heaven.

Through this sculpture, I also understood the meaning of Lamb of God. The Israelites marked their door with the blood of a lamb so that death will pass them by. Likewise, Jesus is the blood of the paschal lamb that marks our door so death will pass us over.

I saw a vague image of Jesus on the cross, and the darkness and earthquake that happened upon his death. Then, I saw little black creatures (like black balls) that were being tossed down the cracks of the earth.

And this phrase was given:

“Fait accompli”

Meaning of fate accompli: "something that has been done and cannot be changed. A thing accomplished and presumably irreversible."5

The salvation of the world that God accomplished, as Jesus Christ, endures forever.
